How to Play WikiRace With Friends

Start with Roblox's normal profile-join route: one person enters WikiRace, and the other opens that person's Roblox profile and selects Join Experience when it is available. This depends on the host's settings and the joining account's permissions. Roblox's joining instructions explain that workflow.

Join through the correct profile

1. Have your friend enter WikiRace through the official experience page.
2. Find their Roblox username or open their profile. Confirm that you have the intended account, rather than relying only on a similar-looking name.
3. Select Join Experience if it appears. Roblox makes that option available when the player is in an experience and their settings allow you to join.

These are Roblox interface steps, not instructions for an unverified WikiRace party button. A successful platform join also does not, by itself, establish whether WikiRace puts you into the same active round, target, or mode immediately. This guide does not invent a round-assignment rule.

When the joining option is missing

The host should check the setting for their current experience, not only the setting that displays whether they are online.

Roblox currently documents this path:

Settings → Privacy & content restrictions → Visibility & private servers → Visibility → Show current experience

Choose an available audience that includes the intended friend. You do not need to broaden visibility to everyone just to troubleshoot. The options can differ by age and region; use only the choices your account is permitted to change. See Roblox's visibility instructions.

If a restriction is managed by a parent or guardian, involve them rather than trying to work around it. Once the permitted setting has been checked, return to the host's profile and check the joining option again.

When joining displays an error

Error 524: check permissions on both sides

For a private-server invitation, both the joining account and the server owner's settings can matter. The checklist below applies only to a Roblox private server. This guide has not confirmed whether WikiRace currently offers private servers.

Joining player: Open Settings → Privacy and content restrictions → Visibility & private servers → Private servers. Review who is allowed to add your account to a private server. This is different from Show current experience, which belongs to the visibility settings discussed earlier on this page. Seeing that a friend is online is not the same check as being allowed into their private server. Roblox visibility settings

Server owner: On the experience page, open Servers, find your private server, and select its three-dot menu → Configure. Check that the intended username is included under Server Members, or that Friends Allowed provides the intended access. Do not share account credentials to make this change. Try the listed server, when available: Return to the official WikiRace experience and open Servers. Roblox documents a Private Servers section for experiences that enable the feature, showing servers you own or belong to. When the intended server appears, try its listed play entry. If 524 continues, permissions are not its only possible cause. Follow the remaining checks in the official error guide and record the device, exact message, and entry route in the problem-report template. The error number alone does not establish a ban.

Other joining problems

For Error 279 or ID 17, use loading and joining help and follow its connection-error branch.

If you enter WikiRace but an article stays blank, use the same guide's article-loading checks. That is a different symptom from a missing profile-join option or a private-server permission failure.

Do you need a private server?

Try the ordinary joining route first. This guide has not confirmed WikiRace's current private-server availability or a price.

Roblox's private-server FAQ says the feature depends on the creator enabling it. The experience page's Servers area shows a Private Servers section when that feature is enabled. Paid servers can involve recurring charges set by the creator, so read the terms presented by Roblox before purchasing.

Do not treat a third-party “free server” claim as a requirement for playing together. This guide does not sell access, request a Roblox login, or publish unverified server invites.

Once you are together
